The Film "This Land" (2020) is a short documentary that digs into conversations about public lands, what it means to be a conservationist, and who is invited to the conversation. We were able to host over 50 screenings, create a curriculum and make a full website for the film. Check out the full Vimeo nominated "Best of the Year" and Staff Pick here.

WHO IS A RUNNER? Prolyfyck Run Crew

 

Their route is uphill by design. Through the language of running, Prolyfyck Run Crew is creating a safe space where Black runners can see themselves represented, and all runners are welcome, in Charlottesville, VA.

We Hike to Heal (2019)
Kenya and Michelle Jackson-Saulters found each other and then combined their passions to create The Outdoor Journal Tour. Through a series of events called We Hike to Heal, their goal is to empower women through journaling, meditation, and spending time in the outdoors. Now, women across the country use their model and Kenya’s teachings to find their own healing on local trails and in community with one another.

Brotherhood of Skiing (2018)
The first Black Ski Summit took place in 1973 and was attended by over 350 skiers. A year later the National Brotherhood of Skiers (NBS) was founded and would grow to have chapters in most major urban centers of the black community, including South Central LA, Oakland, Chicago, Detroit, and New York City.
